Creative project for Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust
Doors Open Day 2021 fell under renewed Covid-19 lockdown restrictions at short notice.
While guided tours through the property were planned and created, the quick decision was taken to produce a short youtube video instead showcasing the main features of the mill and counteracting disappointment of a thwarted visit for those who wanted to see the Lower City Mills on the particular weekend in September.
The film was hosted online for a year until the 2022 Doors Open Day superseded the content.
For this project, I short footage on site with the education officer and then created a film of 1.5 minutes in length with music, sound, dialogue and continuity, using moving and still images that gave an impression of the main features of the mill building, including the original large water wheel in situ.
