William Wallace in Lanark

Comic Strip concept

Ann Tweedie led on a project to interpret the then derelict site of a house connected to William Wallace in Lanark. For this project, it was envisaged to install outdoor interpretation that would welcome visitors and provide an informative and interesting oasis of calm and rest.

The installation included a comic strip focussing on the events that were connected to Wallace in Lanark, his younger years and the killing of the town sherriff. It was soon agreed that a comic strip would suit this intention perfectly and Sabrina was tasked to develop a timeline, style, content and outline of the strip with instructions and ‘stage directions’ for a graphic artist to realise the strip for the site.
